About Us

This is all about you. Are you really interested in us?

Our mission is simple, we want to improve the way work blends with your life. For us this begins with how organisations and the people who build them meet each other, and how we build stronger foundations for growth.

“I am not sure if I will ever fully stop applying for job interviews, although The Knowledge Room will always form a part of my networking for my career, and I could see more of my roles coming from this in the future”

The Three Pillars

Process

People

Technology

On our mission to improve the way work blends with your life, we realised that without a good introduction a working relationship is built on unstable foundations that can often hinder the growth of an organisation and in turn damage a professional’s career.

Our strategy to address this is to organise the three pillars of growth in what we believe to be the most beneficial order, people first, then an informed process, made more effective by utilising technology.

Often we hear about the frustration of Professionals who feel technology is dehumanizing and commoditizing their introduction and value respectively to a new organisation.

Our Story

Geez, you really are interested in us…

We felt an Adam Hills lookalike, with a beard and what looks like a mobile mixing desk under his arm, pretty much sums up our story.

Of course, we don’t.

The real story is….

  • After a decade in Recruitment the cracks began to show – there must be a better way we thought?
  • Organisations and the Talent in the “Employment Market” told us Recruitment felt transactional in nature
  • We heard career moves and hiring being made mainly based on gut feel (what?!)
  • People are spending less time in each role, both them and the organisation need to get more out of the role, quicker was our take
  • We can’t believe interviews are the best way to meet, we even doubt they work at all.
  • Our biggest thought, though, is why do people have to wait until they need to move organisation to check in on the employment market?
  • Does this put people under undue pressure, having to accept a new role “on the rebound”?
  • Is this why we see people taking roles that they can tell after a short time it’s not the correct fit?
  • We feel Organisations have yet to discover the power of the connected workforce, the ones who can reach anyone and learn anything via their smartphone.
  • We feel there is a gap in the employment market for organisations to facilitate more informed decisions for everyone’s benefit!
